Hello,

I got a new SSD and I wish to make that my boot drive, currently my boot drive is a 5 year old 500GB WD HDD with Windows 7 on it.

I want to keep using Windows 7 and wish to install it on my SSD.

Can I just mount the Windows 7 iso to a virtual drive and install it from there on my SSD while running Windows 7 on my HDD?

I do not wish to image or clone it for different reasons.

Thanks.

Alright, it worked.

Thanks man.

Another question if you may know this:
How do I keep my Firefox tabs and stuff from my other drive?

Thing is I Ctrl+X my Firefox folder on my 500GB HDD (Old boot drive) Ctrl+V it to my 3TB Data HDD and then Ctrl X > Ctrl+V to my SSD. Thought I'd be the same. I got a fresh install.

Any suggestions?

This is why you do prep work before swapping things around like this.

This was the only thing I wanted to keep from my old drive though.

Figured if I copy the whole thing I took my data with me, guess not.

thats why i use ctrl+c not ctrl+x

can you use ctrl + z to put it back?
