Can I move Steam Games from one computer to the other?

My friend and I both have Pay Day 2 but my internet is awful so donwloading it takes forever. My friend already has the game installed on the other hand. Is there a way for me to move the game from his computer to mine? I tried the steam back up and it just makes me download the game. We have both bought the game and I even bought his with my debit card in his steam account. Thank You.

I really don't think you could... I mean, you could If steam downloaded for you the install.exe of the game but what steam really does is that downloads and installs the game so you just hit the Play button and start playing. What I'm trying to say is that you can't just copy the game files over your PC and start playing, it just won't work.

you need to be careful, steam uses keys and other forms of DRM, it might take action if it thinks some one is trying to pirate the game.
