Can I not use this gpu?

So i'm building upgrading a kinda old pc which still works fine and want to get a GTX 960 4gb for it but it says that I need at least a "system power requirement based on a pc configured with an Intel Core I7 3.2 GHz" and on my pc I have an Intel dual core E8400 3.0 Ghz.

So i'm wondering, can I install the the GPU on my system and still play games with the CPU that I have or do I need to buy a new CPU?

If your mobo support its, its a miracle and, you can use it. BUT, the performance will be much lower because it is an old CPU. Also, does your PSU support the 960?

Yea, you can use it, but it will be bottlenecked even if you OC your CPU. So id look into a new mobo/CPU first.

Yeah it should work as long as your power supply can handle it and your system has a PCI-E slot it will fit in. Make sure you have 64bit version of windows installed.. It will be severely bottlenecked by your old dual core cpu..
