Hello, I have 1x8gb of ballistic sport and at 800mhz I would like to overclock it to ensure it wont be a bottleneck. The only problem is I have never oc memory before and I have no clue if I can on the system I would like to overclock. The mb is a gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-H. Can I change timings in the bios? If you need anymore info just ask. Thanks.

Solution
You don't have 800MHz memory but 1600MHz. and that should be plenty enough. To OC it further there are 2 ways. Change FSB/BCLK or memory multiplier but with both of them you need higher voltage and first method also OCs processor so it needs higher voltage too. With both methods Cl (Cass latency) will have to go higher so you will not get almost none of improvement.
Furthermore, if you are not using APU processor higher memory speed will help even less. Your best bet is to get 1866MHz RAM in 2 x 4GB configuration, that's only way to have some visible improvement and only in case of APU processor.
