Can I over clock a 64x2 4200?!?

I have never overclocked before and wondered if it would hurt my processor. I wouldn't even know where to begin...

What are your system specifiations? If its a OEM computer than overclocking would be disabled.

How would I know if it's OEM? That has to do with the OS right?

No if its a Dell, or HP. If its not then you probably have a custom computer.

No...I have a custom PC. I figured out how to overclock. However for some reason when I set it to 2.42 it won't start up. ...but it can handle 2.53 and currently 2.47. I don't want to go any higher. Any explanation why this is???

You may need to add more voltage to get your clocks higher.
