Can I over load my CPU with to many monitors?

I am running 4 monitors on my computer with 2 graphics cards....the other day I had my computer in sleep mode for a couple hours, then when I tried to wake it up, the fans and power stared pulsing on and off , I restated the computer and it continued pulsing on and off, no boot up..I put in a new power supply, and no change, I have checked everything I can think of...wondering if running 4 monitors could have over loaded the CPU ?

The graphics card, or cards, are what drive the monitors. So your CPU won't be affected. However, using multiple graphics cards, or a graphics card plus integrated graphics, can introduce issues related to configuration. I advise people to get one card that serves their needs, in your case one card that can run 4 monitors. This means display port will be used at least in part.

Once people tell me something like "Well, I'm using my new monitor and my old monitor and only have VGA..." then I know they're going to have problems. Trying to jury rig a setup is asking for problems. Using the right component for the job helps prevent problems. Then if you use things like sleep mode or hibernation you just add more potential problems to troubleshoot.

Each Graphics card runs 2 monitors no VGA straight digital, has been working with 2 on one and 1 on the other for several years now, just wondering if the liquid cooling on the i7 CPU could be causing the problem, it is about 6 years old now.....I am at a bit of a loss here I have never had a real problem with any of my computer builds and this one has been working great for 6 years now, and any problems were usually easy fixes, This time I am a little stuck.....if I had the money I would just take it all apart and put new hardware in it, motherboard and all....but completely replacing everything is not in the budget anymore. it is always fun to do ,but a bit pricey.....

I went into the computer and rattled everything to make sure it was all plugged in solid, then turned it back on, it started to boot then a message came up that the CPU had been changed....I didn't even touch the CPU....it waited a few seconds then the power started pulsating again, and it all disappeared....When I replaced the power supply and plugged all the power cables into everything that needed power, the computer started up, booted and I logged on to the computer, then after a couple minutes the power pulsing started and it all froze of course when the power goes off and on, it all disappears again, and just goes into the on and off power pattern again......If it won't at least get into the boot stage, on the screen, I can not see what it is doing........if the power would stay on long enough I think it would try to boot...but now seeing that message about the CPU being change, I am not sure.....I did not change the CPU...

OK I have tried everything I could think of...time to get serious with this thing.......motherboard and CPU replacement. searching for replacements today, will order and rebuild as soon as possible.....this old laptop I am using right now is driving me crazy, it is so slow.....I thank everybody for their help, but nothing else seems to be working....I did notice that when the computer was booting it showed the CPU as a 2 core and it is supposed to be 4 core, I suspected a while back that the CPU may be going, and when I pulled the CPU, it looked discolored to me, like maybe it over heated. Will put a new motherboard and CPU in and rebuild it from there.............
