Can I overclock a g3420?

I currently have a Pentium G3420 and Asus h81m-e motherboard. I have never tried to overclock before but I decided I would like to give it a try. For one I wanted to know if my motherboard is good enough to overclock it and two what programs do you guys use to overclock CPU's?

Normally you need a Z97 for overclocking any chip including that one.

I just read that you can OC with my motherboard but if that is not the case then all well I guess

Nope, you cannot adjust the BCLK with that motherboard.
