Can I overclock a Strix 1080 8G to the performance of an O8G?

I searched, and I think I found an answer, but I just want to clarify. Can you overclock a Strix 1080 8G or A8G to the performance of an O8G. The O8G is factory overclocked so getting an O8G garuntees that performance, right?

That will probably depend on the individual board. Some may, some may not.
I suspect that they test them and the ones that will clock that high get sold as O8Gs, but I don't know that for a fact.
