Can i overclock AMD FX6350 with stock cooler to minimum Clock?

Well my CPU bottlenecks with my GTX650 and i am not getting good performance. My PC lags at 43 or 47 FPS sometimes. It's always has to be on 50 to get stable FPS. This sometimes happens on Far Cry 3 and on World Of Tanks. i heard GTX650 can perfectly handle those both on High settings but mine doesen't. But i wanna overclock with stock cooler to minimum overclock not to maximum. Since winter is coming my room is going to be cold. Can i add atleast minimum overclock? And will it increase atleast 5 7 fps? For now my CPU runs at 30c for doing nothing and 40c or 35c when im browsing through internet. When gaming i get 26 45 60c maximum was reached 75c so far. i know i need all those brand new coolers for that but i don't have money for that.

WHAT'S INSIDE MY PC?

GPU GTX 650 1gb OC
CPU AMD FX6350
Powersupply i don't know the name but it's old and maximum watts is 420w
RAM 6
Main Board MSI 970A-G43 (MS-7693)

CPU Temperature

CPU 26c when doing nothing
CPU 30c to 43c when browsing alot through internet and watching videos
CPU 47-65c When gaming alot
CPU 50-72c When playing games that asks strong PCS.

The second problem is my cores working realy slowly i checked that with program and it said 3 4 cores are working with 5 20% i don't know is it low or high speed on games. Maximum there was 5 cores working with 5 and 30%

GTX 650 isn't exactly a fast card. I doubt your CPU would bottleneck it. You have a temp issue if hitting 60-80c. Go and get at least a coolermaster hyper TX3. When your CPU is overheating, it will downclock to keep from damaging the cpu.

nope i was wrong i just ran a game on maximum settings and i had 22-30fps and maximum temperature was 68 and 72c normal games without any lag i run at 40 to 60c default sometimes is 42-50c

Max for an AMD cpu is typically around 62c. 170c is definitely not maximum.

The problem for game performance here is that the graphics card is ideal for playing a dvd , but for gaming its pretty hopeless

You could try OCing the processor using the overdrive options in catalyst , but I see you have the MSI G43 board , and they tend to catch fire if you OC too much so I wouldnt bother .

Instead buy a decent graphics card

um. My friend has the same card and he gets better performance than me. he has 4 rams, GTX650 and Intel Core i3. Plays World Of Tanks everything on high 49-65 FPS no lag. Me with GTX650 OC. AMD FX6350 6 Rams. 29-60 FPS unsmooth gameplay + new drivers etc.

Well i had maximum 75c and no problem but this is when i got my CPU for the first time. It was overclocked already but i changed everything to default and even lowered it's settings. Now im thinking how can i increase it a little bit without burning it alive. And 170c i found when i was dumping around internet don't mind that. My mistake i guess.

My settings seems to be lowered way too much in BIOS options or maybe why im having my gaming issues is because my graphics card isn't boosted. Im pretty sure my CPU can handle a little boost but not too much ofcourse. I know about that. I just don't have money yet. Im gonna get it for christmas. Do you know anything about BIOS settings?

yea because when i got it it was already overclocked and it was soo noisy. So i lowered all the settings until i realised that i overdid it I'll try AMD catalyst later i hope it wont crash my GPU drivers.

Go into bios, go to load defaults, and leave it alone until you can get a cooler for it.

I can't download that AMD Catalyst control center because i have Nvidia GPU it's the AMD Drivers. I don't know what to do is there another way? It just doesen't installs it just freezes
