Can I overclock an amd athlon x4 950 cpu with this motherboard?

cpu: amd athlon x4 950 stock
mb: asustek M4A785-M
gpu: nvidia gtx 650 ti factory oc
mem: corsair 4gb (2x)

I have an old motherboard from an old setup years ago that I want to keep. Could I overclock with this build? (4.0 ghz at best) ps I haven't bought the cpu yet

The X4 950 is socket AM4. The motherboard supports AM2, AM2+ and AM3.

So, no. They're not compatible.

No it wont work.
I didn't even know there was a AM4 based Athlon (though it is just the APU without the graphics)
