[SOLVED] Can I overclock an i5-10600K on an Asus Prime B460-PLUS?

Hi, sadly you cannot overclock on a B460 motherboard, you have to purchase a Z series motherboard to overclock Intel cpu's (even if you have an unlocked K series part).

Na, need a Z board to overclock. Running the processor with normal turbo boost is totally fine performance wise.

yeah... intel is not like amd.
with the 3000 series, amd has both 'x' and 'b' chipsets that supports overclocking - x570, b550 and older similar chipsets.
intel only has the 'z' chipset that supports overclocking - z390, and current gen z490 with intel's 10th gen processors

B460 does not support any form of overclocking, so your ram will be stuck to 2666mhz and you will not be able to overclock your CPU at all.

However, this board may have an option to (or do by default) run the CPU past default power/duration boost limits.
