Can I overclock CPU with stock fan and this motherboard?

ASUS M5A97 -- AMD 970 with a AMD FX 4100 stock fan Will I able to overclock my CPU to 4.2 GhZ

I wouldn't overclock any processor with a stock fan. Stock fans are not designed for the higher thermal output created by overclocking a processor.

Overclock? Yes. How much depends on how efficient your fan is at keeping the CPU cool. better fans mean better (higher) overclocking. most of the time the stock fan is really only good at keeping the CPU cool at stock speed - maybe a small overclock at most.
