Specs are
CPU Ryzen 5 2400g- Stock wraith stealth cooler 3.60GHz

Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Single DDR4 2400

Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ White Continuous Power

B350 Tomahawk motherboard

1 TB HDD

I don't know much about OC, but Was wondering if I could. I've been trying to play GTA , Fortnite, etc.. But It plays terribly. Well, not terribly, but I think it could do a lot better. Has anyone here overclocked the 2400g apu? Any suggestions of what I should set the settings to?

Your most likely problem is slow and not enough RAM as it's used for graphics too. GPU built in that processor is just a bit better than let's say GTX 1030 or Rx 550 but with slow RAM it's difficult to reach even those performances. You can OC processor only, from what I have seen, OCing GPU doesn't bring much if any performance.

Solution

I'm using dual ram 2x4 gb sticks , probably doesn't matter tho

You'll get more benefit over clocking that ram than the apu.

Ive had ballistix 2400 running at 2933mhz on an asrock b350 board , it was fine for gaming but failed rendering application use.

It has however been sat at 2666mhz rock solid for the past 8 months.

Yes, it says "channel# dual" "DRAM frequency 1199.3-1201.0 MHz" Okay, with my current hardware, can you give me suggestions as to what to put the settings on, to run at least gta 5 at 40+ fps(if thats possible) I'm new to all of this stuff lol

Your easy way is to set in game resolution to 720p with fxaa enabled.
Set the detail sliders to about a third of the way up , & every thing else on high.

That 'should' net you around 50fps constant.

Or 1080p, disable fxaa & msaa , sliders to around 20% ,& all options below to medium.

Should net you 40fps minimum.

To me with 8gb 2400mhz ram total the first 720p option will work better - a lot less reliance on ram throughout at 720p.
