what do you think does my psu has enough power for overclocking..?cpu:fx-6300, vga: msi r9-270x hawk edition, psu: coolermaster b500 500 watt, mobo:msi 970a - g43 ...any help much appreciated..!😀

Solution
yep, the psu should be enough, increase the multiplier in small steps and see how far you can push it without going over ... 75C and of course without it restarting/crashing in prime95. when it crashes you get back to the working one and start decreasing voltage again in small steps till it gets unstable

That 970 board + the FX6300 should OC well with good cooling. But check your TOTAL system power against your PSU. I recommend putting all your info into the free version fo the Extreme Power Supply Calculator. It is a great tool for builders...for personal use.

Being below your PSUs max power output is simply NOT enough.

For example, with 1 HDD and 1 SSD added to your PC config and a moderate OC to 4.5GHz @ 1.45v at max system load with average CAP aging your system will draw ~550w, with a recommended PSU of 600w. @ 90% load with light CAP aging it is around ~450w with 500w recommended. To be safe you need to put in your details and see how it all adds up and allow a little overhead.

Another consideration is efficiency. Most PSU efficiency drops at the extremely low and high ends of their power range. The sweet spot is usually around 60-70% of max rated output. This also applies to PSU cooling fan noise.

In addition to making sure you have good case airflow, a good cooler and DDR3 1866 RAM for that CPU; my final recommendation would be a 600-650w PSU for best results.
