Can i overclock my i7 3400 to something higher? ie3800? running a Dell XPS System with ATI 7700HD 12gig DDR5 RAM not sure how to log into the bios on this system. Please help!

Few things you do not have ddr5 ram as it's only in graphics cards. You have ddr3

Also an i7 3400 isn't a processor so i don't think you need to be ocing

Yeah sorry I realized that when I saw it logging back in. My processor is i7 3.4ghz. 3770 CPU. 2gig GDDR5 Mem on the GPU. I have dyslexia too so I apologize upfront.

A 3770 cannot be oced either so you're stuck where you are but it's better than your gpu, I'd upgrade it anyway

Something like a 1060 would be a massive boost to your system. Most cases my 760 bottleneck my 3350p and a 760 is a lot better than your 7700hd.
