Can I overclock on this motherboard

Okay so I have a Asus F2A55M motherboard, and I've been searching for a clear cut answer on whether or not I can over clock with the motherboard. I get varying answers, some say I can with AMD overdrive, some say I can't with the A55 chipset. And I am just wondering who is right?

It's possible, but that motherboard isn't suitable for large overclocks due to its 4-pin power connector. Which processor do you have?

When it comes to overclocking, always do it via the BIOS. Application-based overclocking doesn't give you the same level of control and stability that the BIOS does.

Oooooh okay, that's probably why I am getting mixed answers. I have a 6800k.

OK, I wouldn't take the overclock beyond 4.5Ghz.

Also make sure that you buy an aftermarket cooler. The standard one is only designed to manage faster clock speeds in short bursts, not indefinitely.
