In a laptop, rarely.
Even if the BIOS is unlocked (unlikely), then you have temperature issues to contend with.

Not very.

It is a 15 year old CPU, that was low power/low performance when it was new.

Hey there,

As noted this is a mobile processor which cannot be overclocked in most laptops because of bios limitations

If I recall, you could overclock the CPU by increasing the bus speed, but this overclocks the memory as well as the hyper transport bus. But this was on the desktop versions of Socket 754 and desktop chips.

You're out of luck, I'm afraid.

TBH there is zero reason to OC that chip, and zero ways to do it. I'd let that ghost go!

I have several portable launchers that work on every other computer I have.
I have tried every version of java supported by Windows 10
