Can I overclock this GPU on this motherboard?

I will be getting the Gigabyte ga970-a ds3p am3+ motherboard and want to know can I overclock my MSI R9 270x Hawk?

Should be no problem. Really the motherboard does not have to much to do with the ability to overclock the GPU that is handled with software like MSI Afterburner as said above^.
