Can I overclock with a hyper 212 evo?

How good is the hyper 212 evo? I want to overclock my i7 4790K. Do I need custom water cooling? Is this cooler good enough or should I buy something better? Is there risk to overclocking with this cooler?

Yes, but only mild overclocking. Increase clock speed slowly as well as voltage. Just make sure your cpu temp under load is less than 80 Celcius. You will want h100i or Noctua N15-D to do serious overclocking.

When I mean as well as voltage, is you see system is not stable with increased clock speed, then slightly increase vcore voltage. Always try to get lowest voltage while stay stable.

How do keep low voltage if I need to up it to overclock ?

slowly increase voltage, use realbench/aida64 to do stress test, once it is stable, try to increase clock speed and repeat stress test.
