Can i overclock with this motherboard?

My FX-6300 3,5 GHz seems to bottleneck my Mini GTX 670 way too much, i had 2x better fps with my older card 9800 GT and AMD X2 245 2.9 GHz, so i was wondering if i could overclock my cpu to about 4,2 GHz to stop it from bottlenecking my games, without any problems or danger? Any help is appreciated, thanks! I have like 50 fps on Team Fortress 2 on low settings with gtx 670, and i had about 100+ stable FPS with my 9800 GT 1GB on high settings.

Mini NVIDIA GTX 670 (2GB) (DirectCU)
AMD FX-6300 3,5 GHz (4,6 GHz Turbo)
M5A78L-LE
8GB Hyper-X RAM (CL9, 1600MHz)
Corsair 600W 80+ Bronze

I definitely would overclock it.
GTX 670 should be wayyy better than 9800GT.
Did you change Windows or something?
I'm thinking driver problem or something in Nvidia control panel tbh..

Fresh windows install, i formated my hard drive etc.

You mean switching the PhysX to CPU and not GTX 670? There is no option to disable it.
EDIT: Didn't work at all :/

Oh yeah and i checked the case of GTX 670 again, and it said stable performance, and my fps keeps dropping a lot in games, like in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, so something indeed is wrong in either my card or processor.

I did some research of my motherboard again, someone said to someone else that this motherboard is not meant for OCing and it may blow up any minute, is this true or not? I really spent a lot money on this build and i don't want to break it instantly.

Well, that part is right. That model isn't really built for overclock, you can do somethings but nothing high or extreme. Any way, the overclock of your motherboard should not have nothing to do with the performance of your new GPU and FPS compared with the oldest one.

If you can post some screenshot of CPU-Z and GPU-Z that would help.
