Can i overclock

I just built a new rig and i was wondering if my pc could overclock and if there would be any problems with overclocking.
Cpu:I5 4670k
Gpu:gtx 770
Cooling: crossair h40
Motherboard: asus z87-A

You can overclock(maybe around 4.2) but, I would suggest getting the hyper 212 evo to achieve better heat temps. h40 isn't really good.

I can't seem to find any reviews of the H40. Can you refer me to one where it indicates inferiority to the Hyper 212 Evo?

You can OC, but slightly. At least 4ghz can be expected. If you want to go higher then a better cooler is needed.

I couldn't find a graph however, you could search up hyper 212 evo vs H40 and all the answers would be the 212.

They all seem to suggest similar performance and sticking to the cheaper of the two. If OP already has the H40, adding a 2nd fan for a push/pull configuration would actually provide the best performance for the cost than replacing the cooler.

Alternatively, the COOLER MASTER Seidon 120M is currently the best buy at $35 after rebate if you are willing to wait around for a $40 rebate.
