The gap between these graphics cards and 960/4g is not very big, but the biggest disadvantage of 960 is only 128bit.
Plus the single core performance of FX8350 is relatively weak, even if you change the RX590, there will be no good experience.
New video cards cost a lot, if you wanna buy second hand graphics card, please notice do not buy the mining card although it is cheap

Those cards you mentioned will certainly run on most AM3+ systems, including your FX-8350. Though it's highly likely your CPU won't be able to fully utilize RX 480, 580 or even 590 on modern games. i'd say it maxes out at 70-75% gpu usage.

Ive seen benchmarks with the 8350 and RX Cards and they seem to be better than the 960 but thanks

You can, but I definitely wouldn’t. The 8350 will significantly hold them back.

That CPU is from 2012. I strongly recommend upgrading that AND your video card., if at all possible.

I would start with a platform upgrade and do the gpu later. You will get a higher benefit that way and be up to date for the next steps. Wait for more infos on navi maybe?
