Can I pair an AMD A10 7870K with an Nvidia GTX 970 without much of a bottleneck?

I'm just wondering because I've been back and forth between the 970 and 960, and then the 950 came out not too long ago, so now I'm thinking I most definitely want to get that, but I'm still curious. The reason why is because I really want a 970 for the oculus rift when that comes out, and if I ever did decide to buy it around launch time I would be able to run games at the 90 FPS minimum they recommend.

My current specs are:
AMD A10 7870K(Using Intergrated R7 Graphics only)
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB Dual Channel RAM
EVGA 500W 80+ Plus

If I'm good let me know, thanks!

would not be recommended to run anything higher than a gtx 960 without overclocking the a10

and even then you most likely would cpu bottleneck in any newer game sub 50 fps

Hhhmmm... I'm wondering if a 960 would yield tolerable results with the Oculus Rift. My target is to have a decent amount of wiggle room when it comes to high frame rate at the resolution native to the rift, and my monitor.

No not if u overclock it I can link passmark to prove it @ 4.5 ghz it hangs in there with FX6300 using multithreading and smokes it single core + pci 3.0 I am really impressed with it of course I disabled the gpu for extra thermal headroom and with gpu off it will support 2400 MHz ram

Hhhhmmmm..... are you speaking of the cpu inside of the 7870K?
