Question Can I passively cool an i7 6700 (Non K) with a Noctua NH-D15?

Wondering if that would be safe for my CPU, I think it's fine but I'm looking for some confirmation just in case.

You mean with no fans?

Depends on your overall case cooling. The radiator fins need some sort of airflow to conduct heat away.

I have an open air case so the heat sink and other components are completely exposed (therefore no case fans). I think I'll just take the risk and try it but I'll make sure to monitor my temps so that nothing goes wrong.
