[SOLVED] Can I place a Ryzen 7 3700x on my msi b450 a pro motherboard?

I want to upgrade my cpu. Right now I have the ryzen 5 2600. Does my motherboard (b 450 a pro) support ryzen 7 3700 x? If not is Ryzen 5 3600 a good choise?

Both are good choices.
I would choose 3700X only if im doing something besides gaming,liek workstation use or video editing,but for pure gamign 3600 is enough imo.
If you can afford a 3700X,why not buy 5600X?

Sure does,it even supports the new 5000 series cpu's.

It means you will have to do a bios update for 3rd gen ryzen to work.
Your motherboard doesnt support ryzen 3000 series out of the box,and with MSI motherboards,only the ones that have MAX at the end of their name are actually ryzen 3000 ready (ready means that they dont need a bios update for 3000 series).

Or,just update to the latest one,since all new bios updates contain the same updates as the previous versions.
