Can I place my Desktop Gaming PC on my desk with the back of the tower next to the wall?

I am about to build my first Gaming PC in a long time and I just wanted some opinions or something to make sure it would not affect the heat. I have a book shelf right next to my desk and the back will sort of be in the corner. Now my case is a Fractal Design Define R4, because I liked the "sleek" look, but keep in mind I will not be doing any overclocking, or at least not an intense over clocking, so that may be a factor. I have not bought any fans excluding the ones included, which are one in the front, and one in the back, and then there is the one on the PSU which I will be facing upwards. I do not know how to add pictures from my desktop to this, but I would've tried to add a picture to make it easier what I am trying to depict. Thanks again!

Depends on what parts you have.
Im guessing cpu should idle at 30°c more or less and gpu should atleast be under 50°
If your cpu and gpu reaches 80°c under load, then i would place my computer somewhere else:)

Thanks for replying, but if I was to monitor the temperatures, what would be an optimal average for CPU and GPU temps?

Okay thanks a lot! I'm kind of new to PCs, I am building one because I've had enough bad luck with keeping my PS3 up and running and wanted to spend money on a nice PC instead of $400 on a PS4 that won't run games as well and won't last as long... I hope.
