Few website said that the minimum requirements in BF4 is core 2 duo while EA Games said that core i5 is the minimum requirements. But according to an EA emplyer, this is not the real spec. The real minimum requirements are core 2 duo 2.4 ghz or faster. Check this out: http://mp1st.com/2013/07/22/battlefield-4-pc-system-requirements-listed-on-ubisofts-uplay/ Now i will upgrade my rig to core 2 duo e8600. Do you think i can play this game? Anybody have an idea? Please answer me

It's likely that you will be able to, given that it's possible to play with a core 2 duo in BF3, and BF4 looks to be very similar in graphical detail to BF3. I wouldn't expect good performance though, so you should still consider upgrading.

But even if the Core i5 requirement is "official", just remember that it's not unusual for software developers to overstate their minimum hardware requirements. For example, Microsoft's minimum requirements for Windows 7 are 1GB of RAM and a 1GHz CPU, but people have managed to get Windows 7 to run on CPUs clocked lower than 1GHz and with RAM capacity lower than 1GB. The performance isn't too great, in that load times are pretty long, but everything works still in those cases.
