My system is quite old so I'm looking to upgrade some parts to last untill middle of next year when I do a full system upgrade.

My question is will I be able to play the new CoD at 1440p max settings 60fps with these parts.

GPU: upgrading from a 960 to a 1660ti
CPU: i5 4690k (not over clocked)
RAM: upgrading from 8gb 1333mhz to 2x 8gb Corsair Value Select DDR3 1600mhz
1TB HDD (don't have an ssd)

Wait what really? Thanks! I saw that video but was unsure how much worse my cpu was to his. Thankyou!! :D
The video I showed you. The CPU support faster RAM and has 2 more cores. So it's better than yours but not by much. So you're gonna be borderline for 1440p at a stable 60fps. You might drop lower than 60. It all depends on what your CPU will be able to push to that 1660ti because I know the 1660ti can play that game at 60fps 1440p on better CPU's. The 1660ti is pretty much a 5% slower GTX 1070 with 6GB of VRAM instead of 8GB on the 1070. If you can't keep a stable 60 fps just turn down some graphics options until you do your full system upgrade.

GTX 1660 ti - 1080p - 1440p - 4K - i5 9400f
1440p - 70 to 100 FPS.

Your CPU is approx 10% slower than the i5 9400f. Yes. You can play at 1440p at 60fps with your system. You should not be dropping below 60 fps.
If you are going to upgrade that system, only do the GPU. The ram is just a waste unless you can get it pretty cheap and you can ensure it will work with your current ram

Even with the GPU upgrade your CPU is the limiting factor as I've mentioned. Having a faster GPU will not make up for the lack of CPU resources for modern games. There are many games that use upwards of 6c/6t and sometimes more. You will still have random FPS drops when your CPU maxes out. It will not be pleasant.
