Can i play Entropian Universe with these specs?
OS: Windows 10 Home 64
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-6500U
Memory: 12 GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM
Storage: 256GB M.2 SSD
GPU
Integrated: Intel® HD Graphics 520
Dedicated: NVIDIA GeForce 940M (4 GB DDR3L)

Yep.
It's one of the least demanding games around, though the specs are usually lower than you'd need for a good experience.

*Make sure you are actually running on the 940M GPU.

(the "VERY HIGH" settings state a Geforce 285 which is pretty old, so you should be able to max the game with anti-aliasing etc at 1920x1080, 60Hz)

The Optimus software has to switch between GPU's so if your game or application isn't on a list it won't do it. I don't have this to test, but I think you can set it so the NVidia logo pops up for a few seconds at first to confirm.

Other:
Just curious, but do you have GSYNC?

If so then you may want to investigate and see if you can force an FPS cap that keeps you in asynchronous mode. Otherwise you will either lock to 75FPS VSYNC ON, or run over 75FPS with VSYNC OFF (screen tearing).

75FPS VSYNC ON is the best choice (aside from say 65FPS locked with GSYNC) since it prevents screen tear but also reduces the processing requirement and thus fan noise (and battery life if mobile).

What do you mean is he running G-Sync?
It's quite clearly a laptop with a 940M chip included.
Very few laptops sport G-Sync panels, and those that do have significantly more graphics power, so not sure what you mean...... 😵
Additionally most laptops have a 60Hz refresh rate....
Can you elaborate on this? I feel as if i'm missing something...

Only 950M and above have G-Sync
I feel crappy about my specs i feel 950m and above has the better capability of running games, i don't know why 950 is like 2 years more ahead than my 940m.
