Can I play Far Cry 3 with This laptop

I have a Toshiba Satellite P850 with
Processor: Core i7 3610QM at 2.3 GHz
Graphics: Intel HD 4000 mobile w/ 1.6 GB VRAM
RAM: 8 GB DDR3

What would be the FPS I could get with this system on minimum specs and could I make it look better than the xbox 360 graphics and still be able to play at a decent framerate?

- The 1.6GB VRAM is a lie unto itself, disregarding that the Intel HD4000 can barely run Far Cry 1, let alone anything modern.

There's not many benchmarks for HD4000 around for Far Cry 3 as I really think it's common knowledge -within the PC community- that it wouldn't be playable even if it did actually run (or rather, "eventually load" to what more looks like a slideshow).

It would be slower in Far Cry 3 than in Metro 2033 that much is for certain:

The Intel HD4000 is significantly slower performing than the AMD/ATI Radeon 7770 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX470 which barely run Far Cry 3 at 1280x1024 (which is a similar resolution to 1366x768).
- 1280 x 1024 = 1,310,720
- 1366 x 768 = 1,049,088 (sure it's less pixels, but rendering a scene in 16:9 widescreen is much harder than at 4:3 or 5:4).

Don't get duped into a GeForce GT440 either, especially a mobile variant --- they're just relabeled older tech!

The HD 4000 is much better than you think it is. While FC3 is most likely beyond its reach, FC1 will run pretty much maxed out. F3AR runs, Civ V runs...all very playable.

It's not a good GPU but it's surprisingly capable.

I would agree. My friend's laptop has an i5 and HD 4000 and he plays Civilization V and records Minecraft.
