I have had no issues and most shouldn't either. With DX12 it should be better actually.

It should but only if you play DX12 games. Which means devs have to update their game (code more).
No DX12 games out at the moment that I'm aware of. So it could be a while.

You are right that games need to be coded for DX12 but there is some improvements already like VRAM stacking, not sure if OP has SLI or Xfire but small things do exist. The main one is that games need to be coded though so you are correct.
