Can I play SKYRIM on this system with 1280x1024 resolution and all details on MAX including and Anti-Aliasing and AF...If I dont on MAX, maybe HIGH?...
I know, a official specs are not redy yet, but what do you think?
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 630 (2.8 GHz)
RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz
GPU: ATI Radeon 4850 PowerColor 1GB, 256bit.

i doubt you will be able to set the settings to MAX, but really we dont know. Previously TES games have been very demanding, not being able to be maxed out on the best systems at the time. But now they are putting more effort to adopt console versions, it may be more laid back graphically. I guess just wait till it is released and try it. It will run for sure, how well, we dont know.

My gut says no to "max".

I would also guess no for high, but your 4850 is similar in power to my 8800 Ultra and I would nostalgically hope it could run a console port on at least high.

It ran Metro 2033 great in DX 9.

Well... With my PC, I play Metro 2033 on VERY HIGH (no Anti-Aliasing) on 1280x1024. But on ,,OUT" missions, fps is very slow. Than I must put options on HIGH. Skyrim must work good on the console too (They are five years old), by this, we should not have any problems to play Skyrim at least on HIGH options on PC like mine.

TESIV was not a console port though, it was the other way around, released on PC first and ported to console later. And yes it was a system killer upon release, however that is only if you turned on all detail to high, no system but SLI 7900/7800 cards could run it on max detail smoothly. I ran it on a 7600gt at the time with med detail and it ran ok.

The consoles all output at 720p or less so If you are happy running the game at 1024x768 on low settings it will work fine.

Graphically, 1280x1024 is a low resolution in games today.

I have a system (wifes) that is a Phenom II x2 BE555 w/ an HD5770(128bit) & 8gb of DDR2 that can do 30fps in Witcher 2 on High to Ultra Settings(custom) at 1080p.

I do not see why this could no be done with HD4850 at 1280x1024, you may have to tweak some settings but the game should be highly enjoyable for you at those settings.

If you upgrade monitors you will have to upgrade the video card to handle the increased resolution.
