I currently have a full size tower PC with LGA1150.
I am moving to a microATX mobo.
I will be moving up from DDR3 to DDR4 16G.
I will be using a Ryzen 2400GE (35W)
I do not game. No GPU.
My biggest draw will be ripping CDs.
I am pondering making a case myself (more a time thing than anything else).
I have only loosely worked out my power requirements to 200-250W.
I have a Corsair TX-550M. I have had it three or four years and it has light usage.
They have a 7 year warranty.

My thoughts and questions:
My current PSU is obviously ample for the task.
I am thinking that it is a fairly high efficiency and as components draw power, there is no real gain to getting a lower power PSU?
I know its history.
I can't imagine it would be any more expensive to run than a lower rated PSU?
I think it has pretty reasonable protections.
I think I like the semi modular set up which will suit my needs.
I think that many ATX cases will accept Micro ATX boards, but it will vary as to whether Micro ATX cases would accept my ATX PSU, correct?
As i read it, my fan is always operational, even at low draw. (which is a bit of a shame given how low my draw will sometimes be, however it is deemed fairly quiet)
I suppose my question is, should I keep mine or would I be better off with another PSU?
I am pondering making a case and wondering if I might get away without the CPU heatsink fan.
I am thinking of having a direct flow across the mobo bottom to top.
Possibly narrowing at the heatsink to sped up flow with a temp controlled fan at the top.
Thanks.
