Hello, i currently own this laptop: http://
now what i want to accomplish, is to connect a 144hz monitor to it such as:
http://
or
http://

what cables and or adapters do i need (if this is actually posible) to get the 144hz out of these displays?

the laptop has a vga port and a hdmi port (99% sure it isnt a 2.0 one, correct if wrong)

You would require a monitor that supports 144 Hz over HDMI, which neither of those do.

Get the ViewSonic XG2401.

ok found it on amazon, what cables does it come with and how do i get all to work? first time i have ever done this

Just plug it in with HDMI. It doesn't come with an HDMI cable, but if you have one laying around any HDMI cable should work fine.

would somehting like this work? http:// and also, u sure this will allow me to output @144fps? i thought that doesnt work with hdmi?

EDIT: Found my answer.. thx alot for the help

Yes, that will work.

You need a monitor that supports 144 Hz over HDMI, most monitors are limited to 60 Hz over HDMI, which has mislead people to believe that HDMI is limited to 60 Hz as a whole, when it is just a limitation of those monitors.
