Unfortunately, No. There are several SATA to M2 adapters, but you would need to opposite. There are no M2 to SATA adapters.

Not really, unless you plan to have an m2 capable drive at some point or if buying a mobo without an m2 slot is significantly cheaper for your budget.

Yep. It's really up to you. M.2 SSDs are around twice as fast as SSDs, but cost much more.
