Can I plug headphones into my pc instead of my monitor?

If i plug headphones into my pc, I can't hear anything. But when i plug them into my monitor, I can. Is there any way I can plug them into my Pc instead?

howv the audio output is set in pc open the panel for via or realtek to check it .

Are your headphones USB or auxiliary?

When you have your headphones plugged in to your PC, open Control Panel > Sounds > Playback. Investigate what the default playback device is set to. If default is not your headphones when they are plugged in, you can manually set it to default.
