So I bought a 850 VA UPS and there are 3 outlets. 1 for my monitor, 1 for my pc so one was left so I plugged in my modem into it because here in my country there is power failure every time and the internet is important for me.
Is it good though?
Also, the UPS cable is short so I have an extension with 4 UK plug (Power Protection, Surge Protected with Thermal Fuses) I plugged my UPS cable in it to use my PC. The extension is plugged in the main wall socket which has (I don't know how it is called) a wire that goes in the soil outside connected to a copper thing (french word: Prise de Terre) It somehow direct excessive voltage in the ground. I don't know, something like that.
Is it ok what I did or should I definitely plug the UPS in the main wall socket?
Sorry for my English.
