Hello, I have finally decided to upgrade my rig from a GTX970/4690k after 4-5 years.

The only concern I have about the build I plan on pursuing (besides RTX 3080 and AMD 4000 prices) is whether or not I can take my 2TB HDD (non-Windows) and use it as extra storage in my new build while keeping files currently on it. The only thing I have in that HDD are games and pictures. There are no drivers or softwares on it so logically I would assume that there will no problems but I have surface level knowledge on storage so maybe you guys could correct me if I’m wrong. :)

Long story short, the drive itself should work fine. Applications and games may not work though, as Windows stores things in the registry that may be needed for those things to work.
