Can I put 4-GB RAM in my laptop

I was wondering if i can put 4-GB of RAM in my Sony VAIO, I'm into a lot of 3D rendering and need the extra performance

Intel Core 2 Duo T7200
2-GB DDR2-667
NVIDIA GeForce GO 7400

It depends on your laptop's design, so asking Sony is your best bet. Even if 4GB will work in it, 32-bin Win XP and 32-bit Vista will likely only be able to make use of 3-3.5GB of that total due to other hardware using up some of the 4GB of address space available with those OSs.
