Can i put 6x10600E 2gb RAM unbuffered for a Single proccesor? Z800

I have bought a HP z800 and it has only 8gb (4x2gb) of unbuffered ecc 10600E. I was wondering if i could add 2 more 2gb 10600E in the ather 2 dimms that i have empty for a single proccesor.

Consult your retailer first before opening your system. You don't want to void your warranty - guessing that you recently bought it and still within warranty

Are you maximizing you current 8GB - like running your system that eats around 7GB of your memory? If not - adding 2x2GB might just be useless. But since this is a workstation - I don't know what kind of work you're running in here.

You can put additional 2x2GB of RAM in order to achieve a 12GB (6x2GB) set-up with a single processor. Install it in the proper slots

You can either only use unregistered(unbuffered) or registered(buffered) RAMs. You cannot and should not mix those - as indicated in the document.

BTW, buffered memory is an older term for registered memory.
