But, in general, yes, you can connect a laptop drive to a desktop computer. Connect the proper SATA data and SATA power cable to the laptop drive and it will work just like any other SSD/HDD.

As the physical drive, yes.
SATA is SATA.
Connect both data and power cables, done.

If you're hoping to boot from the drive+laptop OS in the desktop...no.
