Can I put a new copy of Windows 8.1 on two custom built computers?

Me and my Friend decided to get PC's and we both are building our own. We wanted to save money by getting one windows 8.1 copy. Is it possible to put one copy of Windows 8.1 (OEM) on two custom built computers?

No, you will have to spend the money for a separate license.

once the product key is registered on one system it will not register on the other system since the key is linked to the motherboard of the first system.

You can install the same system on both, not update one of them until windows 10 is released and then upgrade both for free to legit, fully operational versions.

Seeing as microsoft is handing it our for free even to known pirated instances of win 7 and 8.
