Can i put a pc on a carpeted floor

Solution
if you can find two short pices on nice looking wood and put the case up. you dont want the power supply to over heat do to no airflow.

i know about the dust buildup, i just kinda want it out of my face. I dusted for the first time in 3 months with almost no dust, so on the floor i think the dust will be ok if i do it every 3 months. as for the legs i have plastic legs, same difference?

As long as it's slightly elevated from the carpet then it should be fine. Make sure you have got dust filters to prevent dust etc from building up inside the case.

Yeah. Just make sure the bottom of the case is off the carpet. Also make sure there is no fan installed on the bottom that is taking in air - again, dust buildup.

Dust it out every couple months, 2 or 3 months, and you should be fine. Don't forget to clean your CPU heatsink and re-apply thermal paste every 2-3 years (talking long term).

i do have a fan on the bottom but it has a dust filter on it

do i really need dust filters as long as im dusting every 3months?

It would be recommended but not really necessary. Don't forget to actually clean the dust filters.

ok guess im finished here, thank you all for helping me

ok thank you, could someone compile all the answers into one post please, so i can pick a good best answer.
