Can I put CPU thermal paste on GPUs?

Hi, I have a simple question. Can I put my CP9 Cryopaste (Thermal paste that came with Cryorig H7 cooler) onto my GPU (XFX RX 580 GTS XXX 4gb)? And If I can, is it worth the effort?

Yep you can. Yep its worth the effort if the old paste has gone dry and not working right.

It works. But you should have to extra while opening or handeling your gpu. Because gpu chip is very fragile

Good to know! How long does it take for the paste to get dry? I've only had the card for 6 months now.

Normally a few years. You prob wont get much improvement on an RX 580 as its so new.

Best thing to do is have an idea of your temps/fan speeds when the card is new.
After a few years, you might begin to notice that these have increased.
If cleaning the card and removing all dust doesn't remedy this, it is probably time to replace the thermal paste.
