I want to purchese intel core i3 3220 and asrock H61M-S1 PLUS mother board but problem is that can i put my old nvidia geforce 210 graphics card in this motherboard...because asrock said that "This motherboard supports the next-gen PCIe 3.0! Compared to PCIe 2.0, PCIe 3.0 offers up to 2X data transferring bandwidth for VGA cards, thus providing ultimate graphics performance. (Available only with AMD FM2+ CPUs)" I m totally confuse what to do and can u suggest any nice motherboard for the processor in budget which has HDMI port inbuilt.....i want my pc for HD movies and very rare gaming....Thanx in advance.

Solution
That means that PCIe 3.0 speeds are only compatible with FM2+ CPUs and not FM2 CPUs

But asrock website says that "(Available only with AMD FM2+ CPUs)", and "Note: PCIe 3.0 supported with FM2+ APUs" Confusing...!!!!

They mean that their mainboard supports the "new" PCIe 3.0 but GPUs with PCIe 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and 2.1 will still work in your mainboard

Thank you for your quick reply But "(Available only with AMD FM2+ CPUs)" What does it means?

Solution
i am not an expert with amd cpu's
but, ill make an example on intel.
in the early days of pci-e 3, some board support them, but you will also need a relatively new cpu.
some boards will run pci-e 3.0 but only if they have ivy cpu, sandy (the predecessor of ivy) only supports pcie2.0 but both will run on the same board.

for gpu's, as mentioned, pci-e is backward compatible.
and for your case, as for most of us also, going from pci-e 2 to 3 will not matter

Thanx a lot sir now i m satisfy completely, Thanx for your quick reply and Hope that You will Help me in future again. Thanx one again....>
