Can I put kodi on an external HardDrive & use on a smart TV?

I'm trying to figure out if i can connect an external hardrive (with kodi) to my Panasonic Smart TV.

Looking for any tips or advice before attempting this, and whether or not it is possible?

i don't think that's possible but you can install it on your smart TV. Or display from your to tv.

I looked into that and i noticed my TV is not using android, Panasonic using some thing caled Viera? or something.

And I could not see anywhere to install kodi app in that store.

Unless your smart TV runs android you wont be able to run Kodi, you options are

1) install kodi on PC/Laptop stream to smart tv via chromecast/firestick etc
2) sideload kodi onto streaming stick ie chromecast/firestick/roku
3) buy a Kodi android box and plug it in
