Can I put the standard HD (Seagate ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB) of my notebook on a Serial ATA 1.5 GB/s port?

I was thinking of adding a SSD instead of my standard HD (on a Serial ATA 6GB/s) and replace my optical drive with the notebook's standard HD (on a Serial ATA 1,5GB/s). Is it even possible? Will I lose a lot of performance on my original HD? Sorry about my English, I am using google tradutor…. Hahaha.

Should be fine, many people do it with Acer laptops. You need a "caddy" though to hold the hdd in place and be able to connect to the hdd.
