Can I put these two 1080Tis in SLI?

Hi I was wondering if I can put two GPUs in SLI that are the same just different Nvidia subs:

I have a ASUS ROG STRIX Z270E GAMING LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI DVI M.2 ATX Motherboard. Now my question is, is my 850 Watt power supply going to be capable of handling this? And is my motherboard capable?

Yes if your motherboard/case/psu is compatible yes no problems. Maybe get 2 blower fan style since they are better for SLI as i ve heard many times its better

Okay, my friend is selling me his EVGA that he bought for his build and it costed him $700 but he is going to sell it to me for $350 as he put two 1080s in sli instead. I already have a build with a geforce 1080ti. I have a ASUS ROG STRIX Z270E GAMING LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI DVI M.2 ATX Motherboard. Now my question is, is my 850 Watt power supply going to be capable of handling this? And is my motherboard capable?

You might want a little stronger PSU if you want to play newer games. Your motherbord is capable tho.

I also have 2 SSDs in Raid 0 and a hard drive and the GPU is 300 Watt maxed I think, each, which when rendering you do max your GPU and if I have 2 that's 600 + whatever the hard drive and SSDs need and my other components. I thought I would never have 2 GPUs so my system is not built for such high wattage. That being said I don't really have a budget to spend getting another power supply as I've dumped a total of $5K into this build ( Including three monitors headset camera and 64 GB of RAM lol)

Just did some research and SSDs + HDD should not surpass 20 Watts and my RAM should not exceed 20 Watts either.

Uhm.. 600w will be quite low for the 1080ti's in SLI. :/

850w is generally fine for 1080ti sli, depending on exactly if it's a quality psu or some knockoff wannabe or something mediocre.

It's EVGA 850 B2 Supernova 80 Bronze + is that good enough to handle my GPUs if I max my system out? And also what happens if I need more watts than are supplied? Thanks

That's a good psu. Can't see where you'd need more watts, the psu only supplies what the load demands, it doesn't put out the full rated wattage unless / until your entire pc reaches 100% load.

Power consumption of both cards won't be 600w, closer to 400w. Adding 200w for a respectable cpu OC and another 150w for the motherboard and everything like drives and fans etc and you are still @100w shy of max psu loads. And that's fully stressed, which gaming loads aren't. Under full average gaming loads you'd be lucky to see 550w - 600w.

For video editing and 3D rendering you DO NOT put cards in SLI. It can only cause problems, and is of zero benefit. You can mix any cards together provided they are both supported by the software you are rendering with.
