Can I recover Windows 10 from another laptop

My HDD on a laptop (Dell 5759 Inspiron) failed to boot
I've tried most of the options posted here.
for example:
boot up with external media, USB/DVD: no go.
Hard reset to get WinRe Disk repair options: no go.
I can't get to recovery options at all.

HDD stuck at "Automatic Repair" then blank screen ... for ever.
after trying so many options

I'm considering the following:

1-I'm thinking of recovering the HDD with another laptop, can this be done? can some one point me to a guide pls.

2- The defective HDD has a recovery partition, can I activate this from another laptop and reset to factory, to fix the faulty HDD.

3-recover the data and format the HDD install fresh Windows 10

4- Retrieve Windows key, how can I retrieve the Windows key on the defective HDD if I decide to reformat and reinstall Windows 10

I'm really hoping it can be done with option 1.

Thanks rgd1101, I'm considering that, I would need #4 for that,
but I'm wondering if #1 has been done by anyone.

#3 as a secondary drive in some other system. NOT to try to boot from.
Copy whatever personal data only that you need.

For #4, a new install on a new drive in that same laptop incurs no Windows license issues.
Install, and skip where it asks for the license key.

Put in a new drive (pref an SSD), an clean install.
