Can i reinstall

I've just messed up a few things while installing windows, all I can think is my patience has failed me lol. I thought everything was done after windows updated, all was quite with no automatic processes or messages. I turned off. Know I'm coming into issues which I'm being told is because if me shouting down before finished.
Can 8 just go back through the process I did when I first done it. I don't mind but can I do it? Would this fix my problem after letting it fully upgrade. I might be way out as I'm new to this so can I get some help. Some great help already

what happens when the computer starts now? are you getting any error messages, blue screen, are you even able to get to the desktop. we need more information on what the computer is doing now

Yes a reinstall would help, just make sure you have get the updates and let them finish.
